The transmission shifts normally but when I get within 110 and 120km/h. A/T oil temperature warning light comes on, because transmission refuses to shift into the last gear. Note no CEL on the dashboard. Please help

It could still have a code, I would run the codes to see. this guide can help:

If no codes still it sounds like the pressure regulating solenoid is out which is in the valve body so if you get a rebuilt unit it should fix the problem. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Thanks, but I have scanned it several times but no code yet. I just got a new transmission as the other one was burnt due to oil leakage from the torque converter while I was traveling.

Hi,

I noticed you replied a couple of days ago. Has any progress been made? Also, when you scanned the computer, did you have a scan tool capable of reading all codes? Additionally, have the basics been checked such as fluid level and condition?

We're interested in knowing if progress has been made. If possible, let me know. Also, let me know if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe

Hi, no progress yet. Yes, I have a scanner capable of reading the codes but no codes.
Am yet to open it up to check the pressure regulating solenoid.

I suspect it is related to the pressure regulating solenoid as well. If you can, let me know what you find. I would be really interested in knowing.
