Transmission issues

About 30 seconds after I start driving my overdrive light will start blinking and almost simultaneously the odometer will go blank. Well it turns to six dashes. The speedometer also doesn't work anymore. It throws the code 0720 for the oss but it's been replaced twice. I'm at a loss so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Good evening,

The 720 is for the circuit for the out speed sensor. not the sensor itself.

Do you have a scan tool that can read live data?

Also, the overdrive light is an indicator of a fault in the torque converter. That needs to be checked as well.

When was the last time you changed the oil and filter in the transmission?

Changed the fluid and filter maybe 3 weeks ago. Did engine oil at the same time. We have done everything we could possibly think of right down to ordering a new computer. I'm not sure if my scan tool can read live data or not.

Okay, you have 2 issues. One is electrical for the 720 and also a torque converter. Do not waste your money replacing ant parts.

We put a whole new wiring harness on it too. Shouldn't that have fixed the electrical issue?

Testing needs to be done to determine the area of failure.
