This issue with Jeep has been going on for some time. A family member with a 2018 Jeep Cherokee experienced very similar issues and the Jeep service department had a very similar response. Then the vehicle was taken to another Jeep dealership, and they were able to get it fixed with software update.
I completely agree with the arrogance of some of these dealerships, which is incredibly frustrating.
One thing these places care about is their CSI (customer satisfaction index) score, so when you do get the survey let them know about your experience.
