Transmission gets stuck in third gear

So I have a transmission problem on my vehicle.
It gets stuck in third gear.
I’ve flushed the gearbox just recently and also removed the valve body and cleaned it. What else can cause this problem? I’ve had this for about two weeks now. The engine light comes on and off every now and then.
Little help please?

It could be a clutch pack that is seized together from heat.

Did you use a flushing agent on the flush?

What are the codes?

Thank you for the quick reply.
The flush was done at my local repair shop so I don't know anything about it sadly, but I guess they did.
They also checked the codes before flushing but didn't get any at all.

Flushing is never recommended. It destroys the clutch material on the clutches.

Sounds like you have an internal issue.
