Not shifting into third and fourth and will only go into first if I manually shift it there. Only using second gear. The last time I drove the car into town it was operating fine and utilizing all gears shifting on its own. But on my way back home I noticed it wasn't going into third or fourth and D4 light stays on regardless of what gear I have it in including park. When I come to a stop I have to drop it manually into first or it will just stay in second. I found what I believe to be the diagnostic plug lower right of the glove box and jumped it. It does not change the D4 light. I get no light anywhere flashing a code. Thanks for the help!

Hello, I'm Danny.

It definitely sounds like there will be a transmission code stored in you cars computer with this type of condition. The data link connector is located behind the right side foot well kick panel. Here is a tutorial for checking obd1 codes for your car to view:

I've attached a picture below of the data link connector for your car. After performing this get back to us with the code information and we'll go from there to diagnose the issue. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
