Transmission will not shift into second gear

My truck misses second gear. Does not slip or grind. I can manually put it in second and it will go. It goes from first to third and up from there.

Good morning.

Is the check engine light on?

Also, if you can manually shift it to second gear, it sounds like a valve body issue. If there is no code for the 1-2 shift solenoid then that is not the issue. It would be mechanical in the valve body.
