Transmission is slipping bad and I was going to replace but in my warehouse I found a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee transmission. I wanted to know if it will fit my car?

Just a quick question first. Are you asking to put the 2001 Cherokee transmission into the 1981 Cutlass?

Hello again.

Sorry, no way will that Grand Cherokee transmission fit. The transmission in the Cutlass is a B.O.P. (Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac) version TH350. It is a three speed automatic. Your best bet is to find one from another Oldsmobile Cutlass or a Buick Regal. A Chevrolet TH350 will not fit as the bell housing design is different. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
