I drained the transmission fluid while the vehicle was running but didn't add transmission fluid at the same time so it idled for two minutes empty. Could I have damaged the transmission and what should I do now?

Good afternoon,

Why did you drain it while running? That should never happen. It is drained with the engine off.

Refill the transmission and drive it and see if it works normally.

You may have damaged the clutches internally but will not know until you drive it.
