The car listed above is a Coupe. The car will take off and shift up through all the gears however if you come to a stop or slow down it will only shift first and second gears and no higher. I can pull over shut the car off fire it right back up and it will once again shift all five but first stop or slow down its back to second gear and no higher. Code told me low pressure and I replaced the external shift solenoids, but it didn't help, still does it. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I attached a pic below of the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid. Take a look and confirm that is what was replaced. Keep in, there are three, A/T Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve A, B, and C. So, if you have a diagnostic trouble code, let me know what it is.

If that is the correct one, I need you to have the can-bus scanned for codes. CAN stands for controller area network.

Basically, the different control modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Here is a link showing how it's done:

If you can't have that done and you are still getting a pressure-related code, let me know what it is, or you can check the line pressure and see if it is within the manufacturer's pressure specifications. I attached the directions below explaining how it's done.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. Note: There are two tests. One is for solenoids A, and B, and the other for solenoid C.
