I have the vehicle listed above it should be automatic or manual as far as Goodyear ships. Now recently it just started hesitating when I go to accelerate Airgas once stopped at stop sign or red light. Well, when I press the gas to go it hesitates so I took it into a shop and he said a code was coming out for the UTCM it was popping up those are with a TCM. So once he went in and took off the transmission he said it was the torque converter. I believe that I guess broke causing metals go in the transmission now with that is there a way he could have fixed the torque converter or do I still need to have a transmission rebuild rather than a transmission flush and will then fix the misread of the TCCM wants to torque converters fixed.

Unfortunately it is unlikely that the flush of the fluid would fix this at this point.

What it sounds like happened is he found the codes that he did and that caused him to need to go into the TCM which is inside the pan. So he would have dropped it down and found the metal. This caused him to go further into it and found that the torque converter was faulty as well.

This issue did sound like a failed converter so you may get away with a converter, TCM, and a fluid flush but if he is there with the unit out of the vehicle it would be cheaper to rebuild it now.

I attached the info below that you can run through that explains the TCM. Please let us know if you have other questions on this. Thanks

Okay. To my question above I ended up having to rebuild the transmission in addition they switched out my alternator existed that was bad and they did my brakes, a tune up, the spark plugs, filter. Just yesterday I was driving down the road and on my way to the store but about 30 to 35 miles when I hear a big snap for like almost kind of crunchy just a loud crazy noise and my truck starts and then next thing you know it was screeching like hosting the screeching of tires. Then I hear metal and that's when I came to a stop and it wouldn't go anymore not even in neutral. So I have it towed and they're telling me that it's the Spring Mount and the headsnapper broke. I guess what you had my back passenger tire was like hanging there kind of I barely hanging on. I was all just crooked like it is came off once I guess the spring mount broke or snap completely but what would cause that just snap. I'm thinking what would cause that just snapped because Wednesday I mean I was told that it doesn't just snapped you know so I was thinking maybe is with the transmission show like the transmission locked up it's because the back two tires to not work because them to lock which causes things to snap. You know I just wasn't told to take it back to them they're responsible for it there the one place wasn't working on it and they don't just snap a break off if they did also do my brakes as well.

Can you get some pictures of this? Sounds like the spring mount may be rusted. They are correct that this is unlikely to just break driving down the road. Normally it takes some sort of shock or trauma to break it or it has to be rusted and then it finally fails.

Pictures will surely help get us on the same page. Thanks
