I have been having issues with the TPMS on my truck. I had all 4 TPMS tire sensors replaced at Discount tire, and they entered all the new sensors programmed into the system more than once, and it works for a day or two and then the TPMS light starts flashing again and then goes solid.

Hi,

The idea that it flashes and then goes solid sounds like there is a problem with the TPMS receiver/antenna module. However, try this first.

With the key on, drop the tire pressure in all 4 tires to about 25 PSI and air them back to spec, then test drive. If this fails, check the receiver/antenna for a problem.

To check, the vehicles can-bus needs scanned. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, all the computers/modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Here is a link that shows how it's done:

As far as the module in question, it is located above the headliner. If you find it has failed, I attached the directions for replacing it below.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. Note: Pic 1 shows the location of the module. The remaining pics are the directions for replacing it.
