Hello, I have a 1989 Toyota Pickup with a R22 engine and carb with 185,000 miles, it was running fine until I change the head gasket. I noticed that the oil and water were mixing togather but the truck was running fine, So next morning I had put a headgasket on it, and put the thetiming sprocket and chain back on, I must have it out of time, It turns over and over but will not fire up. I put new plugs, wires, rotor cap and button, but still not trying to crank up, What do I need to do, Please Help, Wade

Before you tear the engine apart again try this. Squit some gas into the carb and see if its start. You might not be getting any gas. Second option is to line up the crank to top dead center(zero degree on the timing mark) and see where your rotor is pointing. Maybe you have the distributor in the wrong position. These remedies will save you some work.
