1987 Toyota Pickup fuel in oil pan

Engine Performance problem
1987 Toyota Pickup 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

replaced fuel pump & used a carb that was already adjusted from other engine that runs fine, still filling up oil pan with gasoline. Fuel pressure guage reading 8 psi. Any suggestions?

Compression check the engine, one cylinder isnt firing. Carb still needs mixture adjusted to this engine!

Compression is fine. Fuel bowl stays overfull, inlet valve & float is over powered by fuel pressure.

Then check the float, does it have gas in it? 8 psi is not an overpowering pressure.
FLOAT LEVEL Remove air horn gasket. Invert air horn and allow float to hang by its own weight. Measure clearance between top of float and air horn. Clearance should be .386" (9.8 mm). Adjust clearance by bending float arm at tab "A". Also check IG and ENG fuses.
