My car is stalling, the battery seemed to be dead and jumped it and now its seems to be holding a charge but it keeps stalling. Does that mean its a bad battery or a bad altenator?

Give me a model.

Its holding a charge it means the battery and alternator are doing their job. Your problem is coming from somewhere else-could be fuel or spark

When it stalls out -immediately check for spark. Do you have spark? Got spark-check for fuel pressure.
