1987 Toyota MR2 it wont stay running.

This 87 mr2 has been sitting up for a year. I change the oil and filter, replace plug. Replace spark plugs and wires as while. The problem is it wont start untile I but I 2nd gear, when start it will run for about 5second it stalls, or I will tapp the gas pedel it stalls. Please give me some ideas. Thanks brian
