I own a 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and I have been having problems the past few evenings with my headlights. When I drive at night and have to switch my lights on, the front headlight (driver side) starts to "blink" on and off. When I turn the lights one switch higher, it will stop. The light is only blinking when I turn the lights on in the normal setting. I'm not really sure what is causing this. Does anyone have an idea on whether I should replace the actual headlight or get the headlight switch checked? Or is it something involving the battery that would need to be replaced?

Hello and thanks for donating

I have looked over the TSBs and Recalls for your specific vehicle and found none relating to this issue. This means that the issue at hand is not a common problem with this vehicle.

Seeing as how it is only one headlight that is doing it, this rules out a problem with the charging system.
You say that it doesn't flash on the setting higher than this, what exactly do you mean? The high beams work fine but low beams flash? Or does it just occur when the Daytime Running Lights are on and not manually turned on?

There may be a weak ground wire at that specific headlight assembly causing the issue, so get under the hood and inspect the wiring to that headlight.
