I just bought this Toyota Echo for my 18 year old daughter. I had it fully serviced and the mechanic said it all checked out fine. However when I drove it away. My friend driving behind me said that the exhause pipe was releasing water and smoke. Now I'm reluctant to take it back to the same mechanic and I don't know what this means?

Normal condinsation can cause steam and water to exit through the exhaust. However, this is usually only for a short time. Did your friend tell you what color the smoke was? Was it white? Check the coolant level to make sure it isn't low. Also, check the oil to make sure there is no white creamy substance in it.

Let me know what you find.
