Why does my car suddenly stall while driving? My car stalls after getting very hot and chek eng light comes on, Auto zone scanned 1300 code, igniter #1 circuit fault. What doe this mean? The car will start & run smoothly after it cools down for several hours. We are having record temps 98 degrees so maybe something fried in ignition system. Can ignition coil be the culprit?

The ignitor, sometimes called ignition module is the problem.

This is a part of PCM.

Is PCM same as ECM? My manual calls it engine control module. What part do I need to replace to fix stalling problem?

PCM is same. You will need to scan PCM for errors.
