HELLO DOCFIXIT

FROM OUR LAST CORRESPONDANCE REGARDING THE TOYOTA CLUTCH. I GOT A NEW COMPLETE CLUTCH AGAIN THIS TIME A DAIKIN JAPAN AND REPLACED THE MASTER CLUTCH KIT WHICH WAS RESONABLY WORN OUT.

WHEN THE CLUCH PADDLE WAS ADJUSTED IT WAS FIRM BUT WAS LEAVING LATE I.E ONCE I ENGAGE THE GEAR THE CLUTCH WOULD LEAVE LATE BEFORE THE CAR WOULD MOVE WE ADJUSTED TO SECOND SITTING AND THOU THE CLUTCH PADDLE HAS SOME PLAY THE CAR LEAVES IN GOOD TIME.

NOW THE TROUBLE I AM FACING IS THAT ON FIRST GEAR THE CAR DOES NOT CLIMB HILLS GETTING OUT OF A BASEMENT PARKING THE CAR LOSES POWER AND I HAVE TO GO BACK A COUPLE OF TIMES BEFORE I CAN CLIMB THE HILL TO THE MAIN ROAD. THIS ONLY HAPPENS IN 1ST GEAR OTHER GEARS ARE FINE AND PICK SPEED.

PLEASE ADVISE

AZMA

Could this be an engine issue? Does car accelerate well on flat road?
