1999 Toyota Corolla DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR

If you open the doors with a key the buttons all come up but the drivers side door will not open from the outside. In order to open the drivers side door you have to go inside and use the door opening mechanism. Can you tell me what my problem might be?

There is probably a short or loose wire in the lock on the drivers side. You will have to remove the interior door panel and inspect the lock and connections. Since the solenoid works from the passengers side the solenoid is working so I would suspect an electrical problem at the drivers lock as mentioned above.
