1997 Toyota Corolla front wheel bearing

Ive noticed my front left wheel has loose movement when I jacked it up. It also at times makes a screetching noise and gets worse when I brake. The noise seems to come and go at any time. Im fairly sure its my bearing. Just wandering what it would cost me to have it replaced by a mechanic

Hi there,

This should only take about 1 hr to replace, as long as the old bearing is not seized in the housing, so I would suggest you price a bearing kit and find out the local labour rate, as this can vary considerably depending on wher you live, I may be out in an estimation of price.
