Engine Performance problem
1997 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 124k miles

hello, ive been getting good gas mileage and car has been running good but ive noticed an acceleration problem. I was flooring it today and it didnt respond till prolly 5 seconds later. The acceleration has been really bad what could this be?

Hi there if you have engine response but lack power, start with checking the trans oil condition & level, start here.

It was checked a month ago I believe I have a vacum leak because my ac is weak and is coming out of the bottom instead of vents. Check engine light came on today and its p0133. Not sure if thats causin the acceleration but doesnt a vacum leak give me less power and acceleration? Ty

Hi there,

A vacuum leak may be your problem. Check around the inlet manifold as they did have a problem with sucking in gaskets.
