Steering problem
1994 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 180000 miles

Is it feasable to replace a broken power steering belt on my car if I am somewhat mechanically inclined? I have worked on my Ford truck so I am better with American cars. Or should I just head to a service station? Is this a job that can be done in my driveway?

Hi there,

It is possible to replace it in the drive way, you will have to jack it up and remove the wheel, as this will make the access to the pump bolts easier, have a go you should be ok with this.

I want to replace the steering belt because of squeaking sound & found out that it is already sliding when I turned the wheel to the fullest right & left, do you have a video of how to replace it?
