1994 Toyota Corolla A/C blowing hot air during summer

In normal weather the AC works fine. But when the outside temperature goes beyond 100 degrees then the AC starts blowing hot air. I live in Dallas and can you please the area I need to focus.

It could be simply low on freon and the expansion valve is freezing up.

Do you have a set of AC gauges to take pressure readings?

Take your time and look around, you should be able to find a cheap set for about 40 bucks.

That's what I paid for my first set and they lasted 3 summers and countless cars before I replaced them.

So they should be just fine for your occasional use.
