1991 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 91 Toyota corolla that dies when you come to a stop but it will stay running if put in to neutral. Do you have any idea what may be wrong?

Does it idle OK in Park as well as Neutral? If so then suspect faulty torque converter clutch (TCC) lock up solenoid.

Also check differential fluid level, access is through a bolt on rear of differential.

This is a highly neglected maint. Item on early Toyota's.
