My vehicle has a left cv joints problem.
is it possible to service a cv? And hw can I service it?

Hi there,

To do this correctly there is machining and hand matching components to get it perfect, the best thing is to get a complete change over drive shaft, this will be the quickest and cheapest way to get around this problem. If you wish to fit it there are some problems for the home mechanic to over come as the end drive shaft nut must be removed and it is extremely tight, you will also loose diff oil and this will be difficult to re fill.

To add to what Mark said.

You would be far better off just replacing the CV shaft with a new or reman'ed one.

While you can install "boot kits" you still have to remove the axle and it outer joint is damaged, it will eventually fail.

Also, as Mark stated, you MUST refill the differential after removing the CV axle, use Dextron III.
