i am trying to take my alternator out and I can seem to find the tensioner for the serpentine belt. I was wondering if you guys can assist me in locating it

The alt has it's own belt drive. Disconnect neg. Battery cable, and electrical connections to alt. Remove pivot bolt on alt. And then the lower bracket nut, push lower bolt out towards battery and remove alt. Tension alt. By using a pry bar on alt. Housing and head, tighten pivot bolt.
