1994 Toyota Celica Air Conditioner Works Sporadically

My air conditioner seems to works randomly about 1/2 the time. I have sent it in to be fixed and when I do that it works like a charm and the auto repair shop tells me nothing is wrong with it. So on a blazing hot day it might work like a champ and the next day it could be identical weather and blow out hot air.
