The problem first started when at stop signs or when not moving the car would want to die out and would idle very rough, then the other morning I had problems getting it started, it would turn over but would not run, then when I got it started it would race at 4000 rpms, and I could not idle it down. Any help what the problem is?

Hi there,

Just start with the full tune and do the tappets, the high idle will be the choke fast idle cam sticking on, you may need to get the carby cleaned and re adjusted as well.
