Driving Noise

While driving any speed there is a loud noise that sounds like having snow tires on, I have changed tires twice. The noise is getting louder. Toyota quick check says not hub or wheel bearing, but no ideal what else. But are willing to really check it out when I find time to leave it for a few hours. 2003 Camry XLE approx 105000 miles, bought it new. Tires are not wearing other then normal, and is hard to tell if it is coming from front or rear. When turning to the right noise goes away, but left turns stays the same. Does not change while moving in neutral, also gets less loud when going over bumps and weaight gets light. Thanks for the help.

I am having the same problem on my 1997 Toyota XLE. It has 199,000 miles on it. When driving on the hiway, straight, there is a rubbing noise or vibration. The noice continues when I veer to the left (or gets a little worse), but goes away completely when I veer to the right. I've just had my brakes done, front-end aligned, and tires balanced.

(I also periodically have some white smoke coming out of the exhause upon start-up)
