Hi,
2004 Toyota Camry LE, 4 Cyl, Automatic, 45200 miles -
Couple of days ago, battery was drained out, had to jump start it. Left the engine on for 45 minutes, and after that battery is able to start the engine. But, the engine startup is not smooth. It feels like, battery is not able to supply full power for cranking up the engine. It takes around 5 to 8 seconds for engine to startup. But if the engine is left on for atleast 30 minutes and switch off the engine and switch it on, engine starts up smoothly. Is this just a winter problem or a Battery issue? Please advice.

Thankyou!

Do a high rate discharge test about 250amps on the battery and see whether it will hold 9.6 volts in 10secs. If not its no good. Also might want to check all connections at the battery/alternator and starter.

Also check the alternator's output.

Sounds like the battery is starting to give up. Keep running it like that and all you're doing is taxing the alternator. Alternators aren't designed to charge weak/dead batteries.
