1999 Toyota Camry Starter?

1999 Toyota Camry 4 cyl 158000 miles

I have been having problems starting my car in the mornings. Some times it would take me about 15 to 20 minutes till I got it started. One morning it started right up and I left it running for about 20 minutes. When I went outside to leave the car had quit running and it was filled with smoke and smelled horrible. Now it wont do anything. Doesnt start, radio or lights dont even come on. What do I need to do to get it running again?

Are the lights, hazards and horns working?

If yes, the problem should be with the ignition switch.

If no, check the battery, its terminals connections and the main fuses.
