I recently bought this camry and am finding things out about it everyday. When I have the AC on and turn the wheel the idle dips down very low and the car shakes, but does not stall. Is this normal and is it bad to raise the idle manually to compensate?

What happens is when you turn the ac on it puts parastic drag on the engine and there is a pressure switch in the ac system to notify the ecu when this occurs. The car will shortly dip in engine rpms and then the engine should compensate for the extra load.

I would start by cleaning the throttle body and any idle air control valves present.
