Noises problem
1998 Toyota Camry 6 cyl Automatic 176000 miles

When accellerate from 0mph to about 20mph I hear random squeeking noises. When I stop quickly I get squeeks and a tetter-totter of grinding noises when the car is adjusting back from it's stopped position. I was told to have my breaks checked so, I went to a local shop and they said my rear rotors and pads were shot - I had them replaced and now the sound is worse. Any thoughts as to what the problem is - could it be the bearings? Anything would be helpful before I go back to the shop tonight. Thx

With the mileage on your car, have you replaced the struts yet? They are without question doing nothing. Frot end check. Ball joints and tie rods. All bushings.
All Links.

Not sure if the struts have been replaced yet, but the sound is most certainly coming from the rear.
