Hello, I have a 95 Camry. One morning about 2 weeks ago my fiancee went out and the car wouldn't turn over (key wouldn't turn), it acted like the ignition was frooze. I called a local garage and they said to heat the key with a lighter. Did that and nothing. I went to the Toyota dealership and bought a new ignition switch for it and it worked great for about a week. We just had the problem happen to us again (even after we bought the new ignition). Please help! Thanks Randy

My first thought, check the keys. If you had extra
keys made up they might be slightly off. If they are then the ignition won't turn. Did that myself kept
trying to use old keys from old ignition switch.

Nope, using the new keys. That's what I first said to her that she probably had the old keys. Then I tried it myself and still wouldn't turn. Have no idea.

Randy, one other thing to try before I suggest you take the ignition switch back our. Try moving the steering wheel back and forth while trying the key. If
that does not work take the ignitind switch out and see if it turns while it is out. If defected take back to dealer and have it replaced. Have seen where you could not turn key because of position of steering wheel.
