I hear a clicking noise coming from the front driver side of the car. It only happens when the car is moving at 10mph or more. It occurs whether I am depressing the gas pedal or not, and its sometimes more violent when I am coasting. It causes the car to shake when coasting. It even occurs when I put the car in neutral at speed. Seems to be related to the wheels rotating, happens when I am traveling straight, has no relation to turning of the wheel. Mechanic suggested a minor exhaust related issue, does not seem logical to me because of the shaking associated with the clicking noise. I have looked at the tire from under the car and the CV boot is fine and I see no hanging parts which could interfere with the wheel's motion. Great car, want to make it run smoothly again thanks!

Have a look at the inner CV joint that next to transaxle. Grab axle and see if you get movement when rotate back and forth. The only movement you should have is in and out of the CV joint. If it rotates that will cause clicking and can cause vibration.
Let me know
