1993 Toyota Camry dash lights.

Whenever my car is in "drive" the D on the dash does not lite up and when I press on the brake the R lites up. The light warning icon (little car) on the dash lites up the first time I step on the brake and stays on continuosly untill I turn the car loff again.

The D light not indicating could be due to a blown bulb or a fault with the Park Neutral Position switch. You would ahve to remove the meter cluster to test or replace the bulb.

When the R indicator light comes on while braking, it is usually caused by a abd ground circuit at the rear taillights. Check the taillight gound circuits. Remove, clean, retighten and retest.
