My car got coolant leak while I park. I am looking on the engine heat sign and it is normal.
Is it possible to leak the coolant from water pump specially when the car is parked? How does the collant leaks from water pump when the engine is off?
the water pump replacement is very costly for such an old car.
and what if I check the coolant every time add and drive instead of replacing the water pump?

Yes the coolant can leak out of the water pump gasket while the car is off. You may just need to reseal it. And yes you can probably keep filling the coolant up but eventually its gonna be very costly and your gonna end up with other problems. Does it leak with the car running?
