HI!

I AM MECH STUDENT. MY CAR STOPPED WHILE RUNNING.

I CHECKED FUEL PUMP, BATTERY AND IGNITION MOTOR EVERYTHING IS GOOD. LEADS HAVING 14-16 OMS RESISTANCE. THEN I TOOK OUT A SPARK PLUG AND CRANKED THE ENGINE NO SPARK IS BEEN PRODUCED. I CHECKED THE IGNITION MODULE IS ALSO GOOD. THEN I GOT A SECOND HAND DISTRIBUTOR SAME PROBLEM OCCURS, I CHECKED THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE LINKS OF THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP IT SHOWS 0 OMS.

WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM OF SPARK NOT GENERATING?

HOW SHOULD I CHECK THE DISTRIBUTOR?

PLEASE HELP!

and how can I test distributor pick up coil and the coil?

I CHECKED THE IGNITION MODULE IS ALSO GOOD.

What did you use to test the module/ignitor?

You need a DVOM to check the resistances of the coil and the distributor pick-up coil

I did with a positive light tester.

DVOM and how much should be the resistance and where shoud I place the terminals

I am soo sorry can you tell me in detail please, I am a slow grabber.
