1992 Toyota Camry Crankshaft Pulley Bolt

I'm having a tough time getting the crankshaft pulley bolt loose even with a breaker bar. Is this a left hand thread by any chance, and would using an air impact tool do any damage?

Hi robertjm,

The bolt is right hand threaded. A little WD 40 onto the edges of the bolt helps. Most mechanics would use an impact to loosen and tighten the bolt.

When reinstaling, do not over tighten as it can cause the bolt to break.
