Air Conditioning problem

For the past couple of days I have noticed that my air has been blowing hot. Sometimes it will be cold and the most of the time it has been blowing hot. I notice a slight smell too. That could be something else. What could it be? I recently had a transmission put in to my car. Could this have something to do with it? My air was good before the repair.

Maybe it needs freon-to find out have the pressures checked.
