I have a 91 toyota camry. The thing used to run great. About a week ago, I went to leave and started it. It started but immediately ran rough and then died. The same day I did a tune up on it. It didn't get any better. It would take 5-6 times of cranking it over and it would stay running but idle very rough. It you let it warm up, it runs like a champ. A shop told me it was getting to much fuel and flooding itself. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and it didn't take care of it. What else should I check?

Check the cold start injector time switch, and read the codes...may be something stored in the computer's memory...

When you figure it out, let me know. It's very frustrating. Changed filters. Etc. Still no check engine lights.

A few weeks ago when this all started. I used my multimeter and checked the ohms on the cold start injector valve. My repair manual said between 2 and 4 ohms. That is what I got on the meter. Then today I noticed All Data said 24 ohms. I decided to remove the valve and noticed that it had massive dirt and build up on it on the inside. I sprayed it off with carb cleaner and re-installed it. The vehicle fired right up and runs like a champ again. :D
