When I install a new fuse and start the car, everything works fine. As soon as I put the car into gear, the fuse blows. Gauge lights off, temp gauge doesn't work, windows don't work, rear defroster doesn't work. How do I diagnose and correct the problem?

Yes, I'm using 7.5 amp fuse. If I start the car in neutral, fuse doesn't blow. If I put shift into Drive. Still OK. If I put shifter into Reverse. Fuse blows immediately. I had trouble with my account so I had to open a new one with a different name.

Pull out backup light bulbs see if fuse dose not blow when in REV. If no then one of bulbs maybe shorted.

I pulled bulbs. No blown fuse. Put on back in, no fuse blown. Put other in, no blown fuse. Put both in, no blown fuse. Go figure. Thanks for the help.
