It will crank up and run fine when its cold and you can drive it will not cut off but when you turn it off you have to wait until it cool off before it will crank again. I changed the wires dist, cap and plugs I never had this happen before

Do you mean the starter would not crank when engine is hot?
Quite often cranking is mistaken for firing up so I need to make sure I understand your question correctly.
