Brake repair cost

I purchased a 2003 Toyota 4 Runner on 12/02/2006.
Every since I drove the truck off the dealer lot I have had problems. The biggest problem is my brakes. When I purchased the vehicle it had about 53,000 miles on it now it has about 62,000. I took it to a reputable repair shop to have the brakes looked at because they started making a grinding sound and they told me the price would be $2,200 because
the calipers were sticking, they were leaking fluid, the pads were almost totally worn that the rotors were being scratched. After I picked myself up off the floor the repairman told me that he would research the internet for some better deals. The price he came back was $1,100. Does this pricing sound correct and is there any websites I could go on to get coupons myself? Also I did purchase an Extended care plan on my Truck from the dealer could this help?

Thanks

Couldn't hurt to call about the plan, there are many different ones out there, so I can't say! It seems strange that the shop cut the price in half tho. Is this for all 4 or just the front?
