Warranty problem
2006 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 31,000 miles

I recently had my 30,000 mile service performed at a Toyota dealership near my home. They recommended that I also should have the following done:
EFI service
Throttle body service
brake fluid flush
Power steering fluid flush
I also have a 2002 4runner with 126,000 miles on it and I have not had any of these things done to it. Is the dealer trying to rip me off? My car is running fine as of now.

Hi skeith617,

Even though the car might be running fine now, it could break down if some things are not replaced on time. Maintenance service is not just replacing the oil.

However from the list, the dealer is overdoing it. The brake fluid replacement is the one item I would recommend.

Ask the dealer if all those are listed in the owner's manual check list. Check them out yourself.
