Hello, I have a 1994 4Runner SR5 V6 4X4 manual with 139k. The other day I made a 5 hour trip home with no problem, when I drove up in the driveway of my house the tank was on empty. The next morning I drove it to the store to get gas, (drove fine to the store) after I put $10 of gas in it and headed down the road it started skipping and sputtering like crazy. It allowed me to exceed 65mph +, but it just would not stop sputtering. Could this be sediment from the empty tank clogging up the lines and/or filter? Fuel pump?

What are the dangers with the sending unit. When I replace the rear fuel line that connects to the sending unit am I risking damage to the sending unit?

Thank you very much for any help you can provide!
