The inside edge of the rear tires both sides are wearing very quickly to the rest. The tires were put on ten months ago. The rear two are getting worse they have been rotated once about five months ago. I just had it in today for alignment check and they say it all checks out camber is good, toe is good. So any other ideas of what is going on? Maybe suspension issue shocks springs ride height?

Good evening.

If they aligned it and they said it is good, they missed something.

Tire wear comes from either toe in or camber. If you had it aligned, they should have given you a print out of the specs. Can you post those results on this post?

Unfortunately, I did not get one today, but as soon as I can I could get the specs from the last check up. Shortly after I had the new tires rotated I believe is when it is from. As I was internet searching could some of the suspension issues I read about be a possibility. I am surprised that they maybe did not check some like that. Also they also said the Taurus does not have the camber adjustments. Thanks Roy

The car does not have camber, correct. But if it is off there are ways to adjust it. It does not mean that they should let it go. They need to tell you and give you suggestion on how to fix it.

Shame on them for not making you aware of the specs being off.

They should have checked the entire suspension before aligning it. You cannot align it with worn or bent parts.

Most shops today just do the front end toe in adjustments and send you on your way. They try to blame pothole damage after you left for the tire wear that takes a few thousand miles.

Yes, I heard the pothole excuse I am going to try another shop. The reason I went back to this shop when I saw the way the tires were wearing was that they would work on it as warranty work which sounds to be just put it on the machine. If it says it is good they are done no other options or possible fixes. I just will not go back again and alignments is their specialty so they should know some other alternative fixes to the problem other than the machine only.

Correct. They are not a specialty shop or they would have given you a print out when it was done.

Go to another shop and get a print out of the alignment.
