Do I need to program a used Tipm

I got a TIPM from junk yard. Do I need to program the TIPM or its a plug and play device?

I know when you get a new one they must be programmed. But shaping a used one from another car not sure how that is going to work. You can try it and see hopefully you got the same year make model and options and part number?

I got it from a 2008 pt cruiser. I checked online on Autozone website and it says it will fit my car.
