Coolant is getting boiling hot, thermostat?

Hi,

The thermostat would be the first thing I replaced. However, when I would have it apart, I would take the opportunity to flush the cooling system at the same time. That way, you don't waste coolant.

If you look below, I attached the directions for replacing the thermostat specific to this vehicle. I assume this vehicle has a 3.2L V6. If that is wrong, let me know.
